In S1 to S3 pupils follow a broad general education built around Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 Experiences and Outcomes, and subsequently benchmarks.
Across S1 to S3 pupils learn a wide range of topics including Internet and the Web, Cyber Security, Computer Systems, Databases, Internet Safety, Programming and Computational Thinking.
The design of the course allows progression through S1 to S3 by building more depth and challenge as pupils progress through the BGE years.
The content of the BGE phase has been designed to underpin the skills required for National level courses.
Our S3 course Computing and Digital Solutions is an optional choice for pupils but we strongly encourage pupils who are keen to progress into National level Computing Science to select this course as it allows a more consistent progression.
